Mom and I have been doing a lot of work in the house. Our new wood floor is in the dining room, hallway and kitchen. We are putting new floor base board in each of these rooms and also upstairs in the three bedrooms where we re-finished the floors. In order to paint our new wood trim we created a paint room in the garage using plastic to cover all the walls and ceiling. We used an old crib to act as a drying rack after I spray painted each board (3 coats). We are taking down the old window and door casings and will sand and refinish them in our paint shop. All the wood work will be painted "lambskin". The kitchen is painted "secret garden green" and the dining room 'Navajo red". Here are some photos of our partially completed handiwork.
It is all a race now to finish our projects (or at least get them to a pause point) before Shaleen, Heather and Sarah arrive.
We are having great fun and are very excited to seen our grandchildren coming to visit Minnesota.
